How much does a Hook bat cost? Ash bats - $75, Maple bats - $85, plus shipping, applicable taxes and possible graphics fees.

Can I use my Hook Bat in a real game? Yes, our bats are legal for play at any amateur level.
Is there a warranty for broken bats? No, wood bats break. If you receive a Hook Bat product and for one reason or another it is not what you wanted, simply return it and we will try again. Unfortunately, once a bat is used, we are unable to replace them. Personalized bats are not able to be returned.
What is composite material? Our composite stock is made of laminated birch wood and pressed together by intense pressure. Our composite bats are harder and stronger than maple and ash bats. Birch composite bats are a little heavier, we can usually achieve a -2 drop with our birch composite bats. Birch is not available at this time.
Can I get a discount if I order more than one bat at a time? Yes, contact us for more details.
Do your bats come cupped? Yes, all our bats are cupped to improve weight distribution.
Do your bats come painted? Yes, we paint our bats the customer's choice either from the pine tar line up or just the handle. We will paint the entire bat if desired. Ash stock looks attractive with a flame treatment to highlight the grain or leave it natural. All of our products receive two coats of finish.
How do I know what length of bat to order? Typically, wood bats are going to be heavier and balanced differently than aluminum models. Usually, a player will want a bat that allows them to manage any pitch at any location, most generally that will mean a shorter wood bat. Bats that are too heavy will cause bad habits.
Can you accommodate large orders? Yes, we have been known to fulfill orders up to 25 bats at a time. Customers, please keep in mind that bat making is a side gig; my wife and I have full time jobs. Please message us for questions about large orders.
How many bats did you make last year and who ordered them? We made about 150 bats last year. College summer leagues use wood bats; many high school and junior high programs participate in wood bat tournaments. Most dedicated players use wood bats in the cages to increase their bat speed and strength. Wood bats provide great feedback for getting the ball on the sweet spot. Although all our products are made to major league standards, we are not on the MLB approved bat list.
